Brief
An ongoing issue for HP partners and internal staff is finding compatibility information between products, in this case between HP Storage Media and HP Storage Hardware Devices. HP used to print a compatibility chart but it quickly became out of date, an online solution was the obvious solution.

Our Solution
We developed this first compatibility tool in Flash with a backend admin area that allows HP admin to manage the categories, products and compatibility information instantly, so the tool is never out of date.

Users simply search by entering a product code, keyword or by just browsing to the products and the tool does the rest, the compatible products are presented as a list with the ability to view more details, export in different formats or print to A4.

The whole experience is so much quicker and simpler that looking through a printed chart and the tool was such a success that, so far, three more tools have been created by us for HP.
